Welcome to St. James’ Church of England Primary School
I am very privileged and proud to be the Head teacher of St. James’ Church of England Primary School. I believe that our school is quite simply a fantastic place for our young people. We set the highest of academic standards, our pupil’s behaviour is outstanding and children are nurtured and valued for the unique people they are. Our pupils feel safe, achieve well and also enjoy coming to school to have lots of fun!
Everyone strives to provide a warm, caring atmosphere where individuals feel valued, respected and confident to accept responsibility and experience success. We pride ourselves on being a friendly, welcoming school. Every effort is made to provide a varied and interesting curriculum; to prepare each child for future learning and give them the skills and enthusiasm they need. I have high expectations of all our pupils and I encourage children, staff and parents to aspire to the same.
We are committed to every one of our children and we work hard to make sure they achieve their full potential, becoming responsible, confident learners. We recognise the importance of developing all the abilities of the children and offer many opportunities for them to enjoy and share their unique talents.
As a church school, we believe that the Christian faith underpins all that we do in school and permeates all aspects of school life. The school has strong links with St. James’ church and our Christian values are reflected throughout all we do within school and beyond.
As a staff we look forward to working in partnership with you, as parents. We hope that your association with the school is a long and happy one.
