We had a great day today at school with a visit from the poet, Paul Cookson. He worked with Year 1 to Year 6 writing some great poems.
Well Done to all our super Gymnasts who represented St James’ at a Yr3/4 competition on Tuesday afternoon. They were fantastic and their attitude and support for each other was lovely to see!
The children love to share their reading time with their Reading Elves. Who will read with them tomorrow?
Year 5 were great a balancing, jumping through a half turn and getting into their backward roll position
Miss Ottey became Mrs Plummer on Saturday 5th August at a lovely wedding in the picturesque village of Burnsall. Mr and Mrs Plummer had a beautiful day and we wish them both much happiness in their life together. Congratulations from all at St James’!

Today Vicky from Judo Education has visited us at school. We will be having an after school club after half term. She has shown us some different moves and games that will be played at the club. Look out for the application letters tonight. REMEMBER Judo moves should only be done on a mat and when a judo instructor it there.
Today we have had a visit from some guide dogs. We have learnt about the dogs and how they are trained.

Key stage 2 had a wonderful demonstration from the brass monkeys this morning. Please ask at the office if you would like to learn how to play a brass instrument.
