St. James’ Church

Chorley St James Primary School are proud to be associated with St. James Church. St. James Church of England is situated on Brooke Street.  The Vicar, Rev. David Phillips comes into school reguarly and contributes to acts of collective worship.  As a school, we join our Church family for worship as often as we can throughout the Christian year.  At the end of every term, we meet at Church for our collective worship to celebrate special events such as Christmas and Easter and to celebrate the end of the school year.  We join together at Harvest time where we invite all our school community to join us in a special service. The school also participates in the annual walking day.

Members of our church support us in school and St. James’ Church provides every child with their own Bible on entry into Year 3.  We provide each other with mutual, prayerful support.

We believe that it is an important part of the children’s development to play an active part in the life of the Church.  We welcome and appreciate the support of our parents in doing this.
